Eureka Village

Eureka Village Hostel is a 45-bed residential aged care community in picturesque Ballarat East. 

Light filled, large open plan lounge and dining areas provide spacious areas for activities, concerts and visiting entertainers, along with a purpose-built activity area that can hold large family groups for special occasions.  An abundant garden area includes activities for your participation, featuring custom made raised garden beds, a hot house and chicken coop. 

All rooms feature a bay window, private ensuites and built in wardrobes. A memory support unit with enclosed garden area provides calm and familiarity.  

To help you stay in touch with loved ones, a ‘Broadband for Seniors’ kiosk offers easy access to Skype and other online tools.

All rooms at Eureka Village are single occupancy with private ensuite and feature a bay window, many with garden views. Room sizes vary and can be viewed when you tour. 

It is situated within easy access to public transport. 

As a resident, you are encouraged to personalise your space with soft furnishings, photographs and mementos. All rooms have access to telephone lines and television antenna. 

Eureka Village has well maintained gardens and an outdoor pergola area with gas BBQ facilities and outdoor setting. These facilities are available for families and relatives to use when visiting.  

Large open plan areas feature flat screen televisions, DVD and CD players. A common dining room inside also encourages you and your family to socialise or catch up for a meal together. Smaller, more intimate areas are also available for you and your visitors.  

Our beds are electric and height adjustable. Sensor mats are provided as a safety measure for anyone who may need them. Bedside areas, bathrooms and lounge areas have access to the nurse call bell should assistance be required. External doors are fitted with electronic keypads.   

A registered nurse manages your care at all times, and a range of allied health services can be provided including dietetics and speech pathology. You can also access a range of visiting services including your own GP, hairdressing and other services as required. 

Fee structure

Your spot at Eureka Village can be paid for by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.  

A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Aged Care Assessment

An Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) assessment is required prior to you moving in. We can assist you with this service. Referrals can be made by your GP, service provider, family member or carer; or you can self-refer to us.
