Clinical Trials

Grampians Health is proud to provide access to clinical trials across Western Victoria. Our growing program is built on decades of dedicated work by our clinicians, researchers and community members who share a commitment to improving health outcomes close to home.

A clinical trial is a scientific study of a new drug or device involving human volunteers.
These studies test the effectiveness of the new treatment and determine how safe they are. Trials are also used to find new uses for existing medicines.

With more than 100 open clinical trials across a growing range of clinical conditions our trial program is one of the largest in regional Australia. Our facilities integrate research, and the development of healthcare delivery, ensuring that our regional community benefits from the latest advancements in medicine.

We are especially grateful to the many participants who volunteer to be part of our trials - their contribution is helping shape better care for our region today and for future generations.
