Talbot Place is a modern, spacious 30-bed aged care community in Ballarat, centrally located on the Queen Elizabeth Centre site in Dana Street. 

Open and welcoming, our residence features skylights throughout that provide an abundance of natural light and large windows that look out to two secure courtyards with raised vegetable gardens that residents can enjoy.  

The home is divided into two wings, each with its own comfortable living spaces and dining areas for a homely feel.

Talbot Place features 14 single rooms with ensuites and 8 double rooms with shared ensuites. 

Each room has a clear view of the well-kept gardens and lots of natural light. As a resident, you are encouraged to personalised your space with soft furnishings, photographs and mementos. All rooms have access to telephone lines, television antenna and the internet.

Our beds are electric and height adjustable. Sensor mats are provided as a safety measure for anyone who may need them. Bedside areas, bathrooms, and lounge areas have access to the nurse call bell should assistance be required. External doors are fitted with electronic keypads.

Talbot Place has two secure outside courtyards and raised vegetable gardens for you to enjoy. Activities are on offer every day by our Meaningful Life Team.

A range of allied health services including dietetics, speech pathology, and physiotherapy are provided. You can also access a large number of visiting services including your own GP, hairdressing and other services as required.

Fee structure

Your spot at Talbot Place can be paid for by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.  

A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Aged Care Assessment

An Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) assessment is required prior to you moving in. We can assist you with this service. Referrals can be made by your GP, service provider, family member or carer; or you can self-refer to us.
