James Thomas Court is a 34-bed aged care community set on spacious grounds in Sebastopol, Ballarat.
With a variety of room options and shared areas, you will feel at home whether taking part in social activities or enjoying your own space. Our extensive Meaningful Life program features popular activities including leatherwork, cooking, craft and scenic drives amongst other engaging social experiences. Our outdoor areas are designed for all abilities, including a dementia-friendly garden, paved courtyard, and raised garden beds for those who love to garden.

James Thomas Court has a number of accommodation options available, including:
- family room that has a separate living and self-contained kitchenette and separate bedroom
- six two-room units comprising a bedroom and sitting / TV room
- 27 single rooms (23 with private ensuites, and four with a shared bathroom)
As a resident, you are encouraged to personalise your space with soft furnishings, photographs and mementos. All rooms have access to telephone lines and television antenna.
Our beds are electric and height adjustable. Sensor mats are provided as a safety measure for anyone who may need them. Bedside areas, bathrooms and lounge areas have access to the nurse call bell should assistance be required. External doors are fitted with electronic keypads.
James Thomas Court has various activity areas ranging from small areas for quiet time or larger spaces for group activities. Common areas include lounges with flat screen TV and access to DVD players.
It is situated within easy access to public transport. Off-street car parking is provided for visitors.
A registered nurse manages your care at all times, and a range of allied health services can be provided including dietetics and speech pathology. You can also access a range of visiting services including your own GP, hairdressing and other services as required.
Fee structure
Your spot at James Thomas Court can be paid for by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.
A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Aged Care Assessment
An Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) assessment is required prior to you moving in. We can assist you with this service. Referrals can be made by your GP, service provider, family member or carer; or you can self-refer to us.
