Centrally located in Ballarat, Bill Crawford Lodge is a welcoming 30-bed aged care community designed for comfort and connection. 

Light-filled atriums and open-plan spaces create a warm, inviting atmosphere, while secure gardens and quiet indoor areas offer space for reflection. Our therapy program features Montessori-based activities tailored to residents’ interests, and all residents have access to our specialised Snoezelen sensory room.

Bill Crawford Lodge is divided into two houses of 15 beds each.  

There are eight single rooms that have their own ensuite, eight single rooms with shared bathroom (but own toilet) and seven double rooms that have shared ensuites and toilet. As a resident, you are encouraged to personalise your space with soft furnishings, photographs and mementos. All rooms have a television access point.  

Our beds are electric and height adjustable. Sensor mats are provided as a safety measure for anyone who may need them. Bedside areas, bathrooms and lounge areas have access to the nurse call bell should assistance be required. External doors are fitted with electronic keypads. 

Common areas include lounges with flat screen TV and access to DVD players, and screening services are available.  

A secure outdoor area ensures residents can walk freely and safely.   

A registered nurse manages your care at all times, and a range of allied health services can be provided including dietetics and speech pathology. You can also access a range of visiting services including your own GP, hairdressing and other services as required. 

Fee structure

Your spot at Bill Crawford Lodge can be paid for by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both.  

A refundable deposit is paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a partial lump sum and daily payments.

Aged Care Assessment

An Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) assessment is required prior to you moving in. We can assist you with this service. Referrals can be made by your GP, service provider, family member or carer; or you can self-refer to us.
